The Jameson Lab
Our Lab investigates how the immune system functions to protect and maintain epithelial barriers such as the skin and intestine. Applications of our studies include wound repair in type 2 diabetes and the autoimmune diseases alopecia areata, vitiligo and psoriasis.

After working hard in the lab this summer we hit the beach for volleyball, snacks and swimming. Sometimes we get a little competitive!

Summer Scholars Showcase 2024!

Eliana Solis is describing her alopecia areata project to President Neufeldt. Eliana has identified genes such as STAT1 that are upregulated in gamma delta T cells in the skin during alopecia areata.

Alopecia Areata Donor Dr. Maderazo Visits the Lab!
Dr. Eufronio Maderazo and his wife Dr. Norma Maderazo were the original donors to the alopecia areata fund to support research and students in the laboratory. In Norma's honor, Dr. Maderazo visited and heard about the ongoing research in the lab.
